WHO THE ... "KILLED" ELECTRIC CARS ?!?
WHO KILLED THE ELECTRIC CAR ? is a famous documentary about the
"California Zero Emission Vehicle Mandate" showing how major automakers like Daimler, General Motors, Toyota, etc. have won an open and unfair fight against Electric Autos, EA drivers and supporters.

This movie shocks and makes sad, angry and hopeful at the same time and was the final reason for EAA Europe founder Rüdiger Hild to join the Electric Auto Association in april 2007 and to enter this strange "David vs. Goliath-Fight" in july 2008.
Sad but true : the automakers won because they had help by the Oil Industry and the US Congress, which successfully sued the state of California to take back the mandate.
It's hard to believe, that such a suit would have been possible in Europe, a suit by automakers & the federal government to stop a successful campaign against air polution and dependency on oil imports.
Unfortunately it was possible in the USA.
The famous British newspaper "The Independent" called this sad and crazy story :
"The plot to kill the green machine !"
Strange but true : on the European version of the DVD (UK-Import) are only subtitles in english and HINDI - what the ... is that ???
OK, it's true that most Europeans can understand, speak or at least read english, but that's the same for India as a member of the 'Commonwealth'.
The EAA Europe is searching for subtitles in all
European languages, especially in french, german, italian, polish, russian, spain, turkish. If you should have subtitles of WKTEC in any European language or know where to find them, please send a web link or an email to :
wktec@eaaeurope.org
Here you can download the English subtitles of WKTEC as text file (txt).
Fortunately there are also a lot of small automakers in California, Europe and allover the world, who saved and even improved the technology that had been developed for the "California ZEVM".
Against the main stream of the major automakers, they didn't "kill" Electric Cars, because they are brave and hopeful entrepreneurs, ...
... WHO SAVED THE ELECTRIC CAR
