ZEBRA : Zero Emission Batteries Research Activity
As ZEBRA-Batteries are used today (2008) in various Battery Electric Autos (BEA), e.g. in the "ZEBRA-Twingo" by MES-DEA, in the "TH!NK City" by THINK Global, in the Daimler "Smart EV" or in the "Solartaxi" of Louis Palmer, lots of information are available about ZEBRA, in the 1990s produced by Daimler (AEG) in Germany and since 1999 by CEBI (MES-DEA) in Stabio/Switzerland :

Already in 2003, MES-DEA proved, that a mass produced ZEBRA-Z12 with nominal capacity of 42 kWh could be produced for only about 2800 EUR (ca. 4200 USD), i.e. ca. 100 USD/kWh.
