The EAA Europe was formed in 2008 in Germany as a European Chapter of the Californian
umbrella organization of the EAA.
The decision to form a European chapter has been made in July 2008, after the first visit of EAA Europe founder Rüdiger Hild at the Californian EAA umbrella organization in Silicon Valley in May 2008.
Impressions and pictures of this visit have been documented in a travel report named
"EAA meets Euorpa 2008".
The umbrella organization of the Electric Auto Association was formed already in 1967 by Walter Laski in San José/California.
The EAA is a non-profit educational organization that promotes the advancement and widespread adoption of Electric Autos (EAs).
