The "Citystromer" by Volkswagen
Very important note to all automakers :
What we DON'T need is "Traffic Blockers" like the "Golf Citystromer" by VW, a very strange version of an Electric Auto, built for the European market in the 1990s.
Not more than the following hard facts should be said about this car :

0 - 50 km/h (30 mph) : ca. 12 s

0 - 100 km/h (62 mph) : ca. 40 s

max. speed : ca. 100 km/h (62 mph)

max. range : ca. 90 km / 55 miles

And very hard : the cabin heater has to be fueled with Diesel fuel.

Volkswagen produced ca. 500 of them in the 1990s and used "Citystromers" are still available in Europe, for example on eBay.
What we need are BEAs like the "Golf IV Electric" or the "New Beetle EV", which Volkswagen developed together with AC Propulsion for the Californian market since middle of the 1990s.
Volkswagen had to do that , because the "Citystromer" would have had no chance against a "RAV4 EV" or a "ZEBRA-A-Class", IF the "California Zero Emission Vehicle Mandate" would have been adopted in it's original version.

The version, that the EAA Europe wants to be adopted by the European Parliament for the "European Zero Emission Vehicle Mandate", requiring, that at least 10 % of all new cars by major automakers have to be BEAs as soon as possible : NOW !!!
